Your gift of three thousand dollars will provide English classes to our group of Vietnamese gay men for four months. Although some English classes are provided in public schools, many in our community have dropped out of school to do sex work or support their families. Improved English schools mean better jobs.
Your gift of two thousand dollars will buy a motorbike for our street outreach work in Ho Chi Minh City, and eventually Hanoi. Our outreach teams visit outdoor cruising areas after dark to distribute condoms and offer safe sex information. We will paint your name or your organization's name on the motorbike as a special "thank you" for your support.
Your gift of $1000 will buy a one-month supply of condoms and lubricant for free distribution among gay and bisexual men in Vietnam. This is the very core of our front-line work in Vietnam.
For $1200 you can "adopt" a full time AIDS worker for an entire year. This includes our Director, and outreach team organizers and peer counselors.
For only $600 you can "adopt" a part-time AIDS worker for an entire year. These support staff positions include outreach workers, peer counselors and community events organizers.
For a mere $500 you can keep us in condoms and lubricant for about two weeks, pay for a one-month supply of condoms, or cover the cost of 10,000 pieces of AIDS-prevention propaganda.
We want to thank OrchidMania, a San Francisco AIDS fundraising group, for a gift of $3000 seed money. This is probably the first foreign funding for a gay organization in Vietnamese history.
